Lisa Stone is an Attorney at VLP and a member of the Energy, Natural Resources and Environmental Law Practice. She represents leading energy, retail, chemical, petroleum, and industrial companies in environmental regulatory matters, investigations, and enforcement actions. Lisa has an active practice advising companies on clean tech government funding opportunities, as well as climate change legislation, regulation and litigation. Lisa also regularly advises clients on complying with and minimizing liability under a broad range of environmental laws, including RCRA, the Clean Water Act, CERCLA, and their state equivalents.
Prior to joining VLP, Lisa was a counsel in O'Melveny & Myers' Washington, DC office, and an associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. She has been involved in many environment and green energy activities including being a Member of the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Section of the American Bar Association and District of Columbia Bar Association. Lisa has published articles and is a frequent speaker on a variety of related energy and enviornmental topics.
Lisa received her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, and her B.A., cum laude, from Princeton University, majoring in Political Science. Lisa is a member of the District of Columbia, New York, and California Bars.
