All of our attorneys are experienced in their selected areas of expertise. VLP's attorneys average ten years of legal experience, and some have practiced for considerably longer. Our clients include the most sophisticated and demanding national and international consumers of legal services. Our attorneys earned their law degrees from among the most highly ranked law schools, including Harvard, Boalt, and Stanford. Some have served at top tier firms before joining us. In contrast to traditional law firms, we don't staff transactions with associates or other inexperienced attorneys. Each of our partners is empowered to work with you to negotiate a fee structure that works for you and for us. Depending on the nature of your project, we can offer fixed-fee, monthly retainer, payment at closing, and milestone-based billing. So that you have complete transparency, we give our clients the ability to monitor their legal costs, and the progress on their projects, much more closely than do conventional law firms. Our attorneys enter their time at least weekly, and can make information about accrued charges and activity on each of your projects, including detailed descriptions of the services provided, available to you on an ongoing basis, so there are no surprises, and so that you can track progress.
Better Technology.
We have developed unique tools to connect ourselves with each other and with you. We rely heavily on web conferencing and other state of the art tools to keep VLP partners and our clients in touch and productive. Our attorneys don't waste their time and your money "finding a conference room," or driving to your office to review a document with you.
