Karen Chin is our Chief Financial Officer and also is a partner with B2B CFO, a virtual CFO firm, through which she provides financial consulting services to other privately held companies. Based in Texas, she was previously CFO of Venture Law Group. A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, Karen has worked as a Controller and CFO in a variety of industries such as professional services, medical practices, private schools, not-for-profit organizations, software companies, manufacturing and
various service-related industries. She is married and has two children in college and three children living at home.

Jane Droogsma is our Director of Training. Jane has been in the training field since 1982. She spent thirteen years in the Air Force as a training manager and instructor. She earned the right to wear the master instructor badge for excellent classroom instruction. While in the service, Jane received a Bachelors degree in Human Relations from Golden Gate University. Once retired from the Air Force, Jane joined Executrain, a computer training company, to teach Microsoft applications. Most recently, she was the in-
house trainer for Venture Law Group. Jane is responsible for developing and creating training materials to standardize training for VLP's personnel.

Michael Ferrel is our Vice President of Network Operations. Michael has ten years of professional technology experience. Michael entered the legal industry in 2000 at Venture Law Group. He worked at Venture Law Group for over five years as a network administrator and software developer. After leaving Venture Law Group, Michael started a software consulting company called "Front Office Team." At Front Office Team, Michael was responsible for architecting and developing complex data integration, workflow, conflicts and records information
systems for a number of the AMLAW 100 firms. At VLP, Michael is responsible for designing, developing and managing the technology infrastructure.

Linda Furness is our Chief Cultural Officer and also has her own coaching and consulting practice. Linda has a degree in Quantitative Economics from UC Berkeley, and a J.D. from Stanford Law School. She has over twelve years of experience in Human Resources, working first at Hewlett Packard, then at Netscape and finally at Financial Engines, where she managed the function. She has completed her coaching training through the Coaches Training Institute, and is also a graduate of CTI's Co-Active Leadership Program. Linda is responsible for helping VLP to create a
culture that supports the firm's virtual environment and core values.

Scott Johnson is our Special Projects Coordinator. Scott graduated from Macalester College in 1998 with a B.A. in Japan Studies. Since then, he has spent his time in fields ranging from cartooning and anime to translation services and now is putting his writing skills to work preparing understandable FAQ and help documents for VLP and helping with other administrative projects.

Jeanette Pollifrone Kendall is our Director of Communications. She also works as Director of Administration at Concept2Company Ventures LLC (C2C), a Palo Alto-based seed venture capital firm. Prior to joining C2C, Jeanette worked at Venture Law Group for over twelve years, with experience in purchasing, marketing, human resources and customer services.

Grace Liu is our Director of Administration. She received a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of California, Davis where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. As Program Manager of Academic and Community Relations at IBM, she implemented its corporate philanthropy programs with a focus on pre-K-12 educational grants in the Silicon Valley and greater Bay Area. Grace managed virtual teams from all over the US to work with two large school district grantees whose successful projects
were developed into IBM product offerings. She advocated for education public policy issues through her involvement in business and government advisory groups. At VLP, Grace is responsible for managing our recruitment process, human resources, and assisting with marketing efforts.

Jackson Ratcliffe is our Chief Technology Architect. Jackson has developed and managed technology systems for professional organizations for over twenty years. With a degree in Computer Science from Duke University, Jackson started as a technical analyst in the financial services industry with Goldman Sachs. He then moved to the legal industry for sixteen years, first working for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, then as a consultant for a legal technical services consulting firm, and most recently for Venture Law Group. Jackson is currently the Chief Technology Officer
for Dominican University of California in San Rafael, California. During his spare time, he is responsible for designing and supervising the overall technology architecture and services behind VLP's virtual office.
