We designed VLP to be better for clients. Here's how:

Better Legal Cost Control: We give our clients the ability to monitor their legal costs much more closely than conventional law firms. Our attorneys enter their time at least weekly, and their time is immediately posted to your password-protected MyVLP homepage. You can view the accrued charges on each of your projects, together with detailed descriptions of the services provided (no more billing surprises or delays).

More Experienced Attorneys: Our lawyers all worked at top law firms and graduated from the best law schools. They have at least five years’ work experience and often much more. You will never pay to train a new lawyer when you work with VLP. All of our lawyers are partners. We have no associates. Projects typically assigned to young associates are instead completed by highly trained "legal specialists," who also have at least five years of relevant work experience.

Lower Billing Rates: Our rates are less than the rates of lawyers with comparable experience at large law firms, due to our lower overhead. We'll also do projects on a "flat fee" basis if you prefer and if we agree on a fair arrangement.

Better Technology: We have developed tools unique to the legal industry to connect ourselves with our clients. For example, each VLP project has its own secure on-line webpage where you and your VLP attorney team can share documents, checklists, comments and contact and billing information. We rely heavily on web conferencing and other "state of the art" tools to keep us and our clients in touch and productive.

Better Knowledge of Your Business: There's no "up or out" promotional system at VLP. We provide the best tools, resources, compensation and working environment to our attorneys so that they will remain with VLP (and you) for a long time. Their commitment to you is as strong as it would be if they were with you in-house. VLP partners will take the time to get to know your business and people, and to create a long-term, productive relationship with you.

Friendlier to the Environment: We are an environmentally responsible business. VLP is at the vanguard of a growing trend in the U. S. economy - virtual service businesses. Sparing our environment by traveling less and working remotely saves on gasoline, improves air quality, reduces our dependence on foreign energy sources and benefits our employees and their families as well.
